Handcrafted in Berlin

My Name is Dorian Bracht and I am a furniture maker in Berlin. I work with my hands and have learned the use of Western and Japanese tools from the first steps.

My specialty are the design and building of long lived, bespoke furniture and interiors for private and commercial clients.

I work exclusively with sustainably sourced solid wood. It ages beautifully and is better for the environment. For my unique pieces I use, among other things, old Japanese and Chinese techniques of joining wood. That is why I do not need glue, nails or screws for my pieces.

I also finish the furniture with traditional techniques such as hand planing, fuming, charring and polishing. This enables my pieces to have many facets of varying charachter.

Hands on Courses

In these Workshops I convey my knowledge and my experience, honed by many years of furniture making. You will learn the use of hand tools and the techniques used to be able to work efficiently. Furthermore, I will teach you an assortment of solid and aesthetic joinery to incorporate into your projects. From beginner to expert, there is something for everyone.

All the courses take place in my workshop in Berlin Neukölln.

My Book about Japanese Joinery
