Wooden Joinery has a very long History. It has been improved and adapted for thousands of years. In modern times we have access to the solid, tried and tested joinery techniques of many different cultures. The necessity to create goods for a fast lifestyle has pushed the craft to use more fragile material and joinery. The proof for the superiority of joinery, are Chinese chairs, that have been in use for 400 years. Also, old Japanese temples that have been standing for 1000 years are a good example for the longevity of traditional joinery.

I construct my pieces with visible and invisible joinery in many variations. They serve the purpose to give the piece a long life, so many generations can enjoy them.
